The quest is over.

I’m going to keep this post short. For the past several months, I have been searching for the ultimate chocolate chip cookies. Something not too caloric or fattening that was really thin, crunchy and delicious. Well, that mission has now ended. I stumbled on a recipe that simply can’t be beat, and honestly, I see no reason to even try. These cookies are sensational. Now, I halved the recipe and ended up with about 30 cookies, so it definitely makes a TON! Anyways, here’s the recipe (name altered a  bit):

OMG Chocolate Chip Cookies (slightly adapted from girl who bakes)

1/2 cup unsalted butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 cups all-purpose flour (a little more if too liquid-y)
1/2 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
3/4 cups chocolate chips
Directions
1. preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit and line baking sheet with parchment paper.
2.  cream sugars and butter in the stand of a mixing bowl until light and fluffy. add egg and vanilla and mix until evenly combined.
3. add flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon to mixing bowl and combine.
4. add chocolate chips and stir by hand until evenly distributed.
5. drop cookies six to a sheet and baking for 8-12 minutes or until golden brown, rotating halfway through.
6. let cookies rest for 2-3 minutes on baking sheet before carefully transferring to wire rack.

    i like this recipe but doesn’t the high butter content make the cookies crispy?

      Very, but then again, that’s what I was going for. The taste is phenomenal!
